The application period for summer 2023 closed on February 18, 2023. Interviews are being held via Zoom in early March for anyone changing positions from the prior year, and anyone new to employment at Seminole. We are hiring for the positions listed below.
Head Lifeguard: The Head Guard will primarily perform the duties of a Lifeguard. The Head Guard will assume the role of the senior staff on duty when a manager is not present. This position will be paid hourly. Applicants should hold current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid, or be able to have these current by opening weekend. All Head Lifeguards must be high school graduates or graduating from high school in May/June of 2021.
Lifeguards: Applicants should hold current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid, or be able to have these current by opening weekend. Wisconsin State Law now allows 15 year olds to be lifeguards upon completion of the Red Cross Lifeguarding Course.
Instructors: This position teaches swimming or diving lessons. It can be combined with one of our other positions as well. Applicants should hold current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid, or be able to have these current by opening weekend.
Attendants: This position will be responsible for front desk and concessions duties. The position requires that applicants have completed 8th grade by the end of the current school year and will be entering as High School Freshman in the fall.
Tennis Instructors: This position teaches tennis lessons. It can be combined with one of our other positions as well.
Swim/Dive Team Coach: This position coaches our swim and dive teams. Our swim and dive teams compete in the All City Swim & Dive League. The season runs from late May until the end of July. It can be combined with one of our other positions as well.

Once you are hired, we’ll need from you:
- W4 – all paid employees, you will get this at clean up day and it will be due on your in-service day. You will need your social security number for this form
- Background Check – Employees must complete successfully before they are allowed to work a scheduled shift. We will communicate with you how to complete this.
- If you have not been employed by Seminole in the past and are under 16, you must bring a completed Work Permit to the pool before you may work a shift. The Work Permit is issued by your school or district office. Processing time is usually a week, so plan ahead. We will refund the $10 processing fee to you. Please see the State of Wisconsin website for information on how to obtain a Work Permit.
