Seminole Assistant Swim Coach
General Description: Seminole Swim and Dive Team is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the swim team coaching staff at Seminole Pool. Under the direction of the head coach, the assistant coach will:
- Provide instruction to competitive swimmers of a variety of ages and levels
- Participate in team social events and create team unity
- Be available to coach at weekly dual meets (Saturday mornings, occasional weekday evening meets) and All City Championship meet.
- Be able to communicate with parents and the team planning committee.

- Experience with the swim and dive team at Seminole pool and/or All City program
Hours:
- Part time seasonal during the All City swim & dive season (end of May to beginning of August).
- Practice hours are M-F mornings, 6:45-10:30am. Practice times are dependent on the age group you will work with for the summer.
- Meets are held weekly on Saturday mornings with the possibility of an occasional weekday evening meet.
- The All City Championship meet will be held during the days of July 31st-August 2nd. Attendance is required for all days
- End of season banquet held the evening of August 2nd following the conclusion of All City finals.
- Other social event dates and times to be determined.
Head Dive Coach
General Description: Seminole Swim and Dive Team is hiring a motivated individual to lead the Seminole Sharks Dive program. The Head Coach will instruct diving techniques and develop training programs for divers of all levels between the ages of 5-18. The ideal candidate will:
- Feel comfortable providing constructive feedback on how divers can improve their dives and challenge them to safely try new dives
- Consistently enforce the divers’ safety – in and around the pool and diving boards
- Foster a team environment, by positively motivating and encouraging athletes as individuals and as a team. This can be further supported in collaboration with dive-parent representatives who can help organize social events and activities.
- Communicate clearly and often with dive families and dive-parent representatives. This includes attending planning meetings (parent and league).
- Communicate and co-create dive practices with Assistant dive coach/Jr dive coach, with clear expectations of the head and Assistant/Jr dive coach.
- Coordinate weekly dual meets, including:
- Serve as a judge at weekly dual meets (most often on Friday evenings)
- Co-create dive sheets with each diver
- Submit dive entries weekly
- Communicate team’s results to Seminole Boosters to post in weekly newsletter
- Coordinate Seminole dive team for the All City dive meet (end of July)
- Attend All-City meetings and serve as a liaison to the All City host pool/coach community
- Track eligibility (each diver must dive in 3 dual meets to be eligible)
- Communicate clearly with the team and parent representatives about the plans for All City
- Submit divers and dive sheets, in advance of the deadline, to enter divers into the All City competition
Qualifications:
- Required: Experience as a diver
- Preferred:
- Coaching experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience with the swim & dive team at Seminole pool and/or All City program
Hours:
- Part time seasonal during the All City swim & dive season (end of May to the end of July).
- Practice hours are held 11:00 to 12:45 pm Monday thru Friday (hours subject to change, with input from head coach).
- Dual meets are held most Friday evening beginning at 5:00; warm-ups at 3:00 pm for home meets and 4:00 pm for away weeks. Some dual meets occur on weeknights. The schedule will be available before the start of the season.
- For the 2025 season, the All City meet will be July 28th-29th; warm ups on July 27th.
- The end-of-season banquet will be held the evening of August 2nd.
- Other social events may be planned in coordination with the Seminole boosters, dive-parent representatives (date and times to be determined), which the head coach may need to attend.
Assistant/Junior Dive Coach
General Description: Seminole Swim and Dive Team is hiring a motivated individual to assist with the Seminole Sharks Dive program. - Collaborate and co-create dive practices with the Head coach, establishing clear expectations of the head and Assistant/Jr dive coach.
- Support the head coach to coordinate weekly dual meets and fort he All City dive meet, as needed (i.e., ensuring dive sheets for each diver are completed)
Qualifications:
- Required: Experience as a diver
- Preferred:
- Swim and/or dive lesson teaching experience
- High School student
- Experience with the swim & dive team at Seminole pool and/or All City program
- Note: if eligible, the assistant/junior coach may also dive for the Seminole Sharks dive team
